RBPF Nassau: 12 arrested during police operation - 13 various arrests overnight

12 ARRESTED DURING POLICE OPERATION

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s 2014 Policing Priorities, a team of officers from the Northeastern Division assisted by officers from the Eastern Division conducted a major police operation in Eastern New Providence on Monday 25th August 2014. The operation targeted prolific offenders and persons wanted for a number of major and minor offences.

The operation reaped the following arrests;

Eight (8) persons for House Breaking

One (1) person for Shop Breaking

One (1) person for Robbery

One (1) person for Breach of the Immigration Act

One (1) person for an Outstanding Criminal Warrant

13 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS OVERNIGHT

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the following arrests overnight:

Six (6) arrests for Outstanding Criminal Warrants

Two (2) arrests for Stealing

Two (2) arrests for Causing Harm

Two (2) arrests for Breach of the Immigration Act

One (1) arrest for Stealing from a Vehicle

.POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

DON’T LOOK LIKE AN EASY TARGET – ROBBERS WANT SOMEONE WHO WILL PROVIDE THE LEAST RESISTANCE. IF YOU LOOK LIKE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING, WALK WITH YOUR HEAD UP AND EYES ALERT, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE LEFT ALONE.
