15 ARRESTED - DRUGS, AMMO & STOLEN LICENSE PLATES RECOVERED DURING FLYING SQUAD OPERATION

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, officers from the Flying Squad conducted an operation throughout New Providence last night, that targeted persons wanted for various criminal offences.

The operation police recovered several rounds of ammunition, a quantity of dangerous drugs and several stolen license plates. Additionally, 15 persons were taken into custody for offences such as, firearms and ammunition, possession of dangerous drugs, firearms, threats of death and assault with a deadly weapon.

POLICE PROBE STABBING INCIDENT

According to reports, shortly after 2:00am on Saturday 26th September 2015, a man was involved in an argument with a female friend on Carmichael Road that resulted in him being stabbed to the body. The victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.
