WANTED SUSPECTS CAPTURED

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are pleased to report that wanted suspects Michael Thompson Sr. and Zaccario Rolle were both taken into custody on Friday 18th July 2014.Thompson who is wanted by Central Detective Unit officers for questioning reference to Stolen vehicle andFraud was arrested in New Providence yesterday morning and Rolle who escaped lawful custody at the Governor’s Harbor Police Station on Thursday 17th July 2014 was arrested yesterday afternoon.Police wish to thank members of the public for their kind assistance rendered that led to the arrest of both suspects.

7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS OVERNIGHT

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the following arrests overnight:

Five (5) arrests for an Outstanding Court Warrants

One (1) arrest for Possession of Dangerous Drugs

One (1) arrest for Unlawful sexual intercourse

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASISTANCE IN SOLVING SHOOTING INCIDENTS

POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in solving two separate shooting incidents in New Providence that has left two men detained in hospital.

In the first incident, shortly after 12:30pm on Friday 18th July 2014, a man was sitting down in front of his residence located at Flamingo Gardens, when a man armed with a handgun shot him in the leg before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.In the second incident, shortly after 1:00am on Saturday 19th July 2014, a man was walking in the rear of his Residence located at Podoleo Street, when a man armed with a handgun shot him in both legs before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASISTANCE IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERY

POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in solving an armed robbery that occurred on Friday 18th July 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm, a man was at Rock Crusher Road, when three men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash and his champagne coloured Honda Legend vehicle license number 233942 before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) CRIME PREVENTION TIP OF THE WEEK
