36 ARRESTED AS POLICE ANTI-CRIME OPERATION INTENSIFIES
Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are reporting the arrest of 36 persons for a number of serious crimes, including murder and armed robbery as their anti-crime operation intensified last night.
During the operation police targeted persons involved in criminal activities, such and drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders, persons wanted for outstanding court warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.
The operation, which is consistent with the Commissioner’s 2014 Policing Priorities, was under the command of Chief Superintendent Theophilus Cunningham.
7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of seven (7) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
