3 MEN IN CUSTODY FOR MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER
Nassau, Bahamas -
Police are pleased to report the arrest of the following suspects for questioning reference to attempted murder and murder:
• On Saturday 3rd January 2015, Central Detective Unit officers arrested a 27 – year old man of Hollie Street reference to the murder of Dior Johnson that occurred 23rd February 2014 at East Street;
• On Monday 5th January 2015 Central Detective Unit officers arrested an adult male of Matthew Street reference to the murder of Randy McNeil that occurred on 30th December 2014 at Matthew Street, Nassau Village;
• On Monday 5th January 2015 a 21 – year old male wanted for the attempted murder of Crimston Rolle that occurred on 3rd January 2015 surrendered to officers at the Central Detective Unit.
POLICE IDENTIFY HOMICIDE VICTIMS
The first victim has been identified as 24 – year old Calderon Hall of Revival Faith Way who was shot and killed at Deliverance Way, Malcolm Allotment on Saturday 3rd January 2015.
The second victim has been identified as 24 – year old Shawn Kemp of Zeneida Street, St.Andrews Beach Estates who was shot and killed at Madeira Street on Sunday 4th January 2014. The third victim has been identified as 24 – year old Angello Pinder of Union Village who was shot and killed at Union Village on Sunday 4th January 2015.
WEEKLY PREVENTION CRIME TIP - REDUCING VIOLENCE
• Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
• Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
• Report crimes and suspicious activities to police; agree to testify when necessary. If you want to live in a safe community, stand up for what you believe in.
• Don’t support illegal activities, like buying stolen property or using illegal drugs. It’s the wrong message to send to a child, and it involves you in criminal activity. It also encourages more crime that hurts you and your neighbours.
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime,
