RBPF Nassau: American Man & Woman arrested at LPIA For Failing To Declare - American Man Arrested for Drug Possession

AMERICAN MAN & WOMAN ARRESTED AT LPIA FOR FAILING TO DECLARE

An American man and woman from Malabar, Florida, were taken into custody for Failing to Declare and Making a False Declaration on Tuesday 27th June 2017.
According to reports, shortly before 3:00pm, the man and woman were returning to the United States, when United States Customs and Border Protection officials detained them at the United States Pre- Clearance Departure Lounge at LPIA for Failing to Declare $25, 850.00 and Making a False Declaration. The man and woman were handed over to the police and are expected to appear in court later today to be formally charged.

AMERICAN MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, officers from Tourism Policing Unit took an American man from Washington, DC, into custody after they found a quantity of dangerous drugs in his possession on Tuesday 27th June 2017.

Reports are that around 3:00pm, Tourism Policing Unit Officers, were on routine foot patrol in the area of Pompey Square, when they arrested the man after they found a quantity of marijuana in his possession. The man is expected to appear in court later today to be formally charged.
