American man & woman arrested at LPIA for failing to declare

Nassau, Bahamas - An American man and woman from New Jersey, USA, were taken into custody for Failing to Declare and Making a False Declaration on Monday 7th November 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00am, the man and woman were returning to the United States, when United States Customs and Border Protection officials detained them at the United States Pre- Clearance Departure Lounge at LPIA for Failing to Declare $64,522.00 and Making a False Declaration. The man and woman were handed over to the police and are expected to appear in court later today to be formally charged.
