ROYAL BAHAMAS POLICE FORCE ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE AND PARADE

The Royal Bahamas Police Force Annual Church Service an d Parade will be held at 2:00pm , on Sunday, 7 th January, 2018 at Zion Baptist Church located at Shirley and East Streets.

Prior to attending church, officers will gather at the Garden of Remembrance at Police Headquarters at 12:00noon, where a short memorial service will be held in honor of police officers who have fallen in the line of duty over the past years.

Officers led by Police Commissioner Anth ony Ferguson , will then parade on north on East Street to East Hill Street, west on East Hil l Street to Parliament Street, n o rth on Parliament Street to Shirley Street, west on Shirley Street to Frederick Street, north on Frederick Street to Bay Street, ea st on Bay Street to Elizabeth Avenue, South on Elizabeth Avenue to Shirley Street, west on Shirley Street, culminating at Zion Baptist Church.

Following the service, the officers will parade west on Shirley Street to Princess Street, then south on Market Street to Ross Corner, west on Ross Corner to East Street, north on East Street, concluding at Police Headquarters

ROAD CLOSURES FOR 2018 ANNUAL POLICE CHURCH SERVICE

From 12noon until after the church service on Sunday, 7 th January, 2018, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic: -

Shirley Street between Elizabeth Avenue and Parliament Street

East Street between East Hill Street and Shirley Street

East Hill Street

Parliament Street South

Frederick Street

From 10:00am until the completion of the service, parking will not be permitted on the following streets: -

East Street north (Both Sides)

East Hill Street (Both Sides)

Shirley Street (Both Sides)

Parliament Street South (Both Sides)

Frederick Street (Both Sides)

Princess Street

Market Street

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO A NYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME , NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328 - TIPS (8477 ) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1 - 242 - 300 - 847 7 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
