RBPF Nassau: Anti-crime operation nets 27 arrests overnight

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are reporting the arrest of 27 persons for questioning reference to a number of serious crimes such armed robbery, dangerous, housebreaking drugs and outstanding criminal warrants as their anti-crime operation in throughout New Providence last night.

The operations which are consistent with the Commissioner’s 2015 Policing Priorities targeted persons involved in criminal activities, such and drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders, persons wanted for outstanding court warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.

Last night’s operation was led by Chief Superintendent Theophilus Cunningham.

• Travel with a friend or in a group.

• Be alert and aware of your surroundings.

• Avoid dark, vacant or deserted areas; use well-lit, well-traveled routes.

• Dress in clothes and shoes, which will not hamper movement.
