RBPF Nassau: Armed robbery and 3 for possession of dangerous drugs - 110 drivers ticketed

ARMED ROBBERY AND 3 FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are pleased to report that as a result of unwavering commitment and dedication to duty by officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, two (2) suspects will be arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 2nd January, 2018 at 12:00noon to be formally charged with Murder. One (1) suspect will be charged with Armed Robbery and three (3) suspects with Possession of Dangerous Drugs with Intent to Supply. 

The suspects are:

  • A 27 – year old male of Elizabeth Estate for the murder of Alex Rahming , who was killed while at Commonwealth Boulevard, Elizabeth Estates on Tuesday, 26th December , 2017
  • A 24 – year old male of East Street for the Murder of Omar Dorsette , who was killed while at Sixth Street, Coconut Grove on Wednesday, 27th December, 201 7
  • A 19 – year old male of Father Cal n an Road off Baillou Hill Road for Armed Robber
  • Two ( 2 ) Bahamian males , ages 40 and 45 years and one ( 1 ) Jamaican male age 47 years for possession of Dangerous Drugs with intent to supply, in connection with the drug bust off South Andros on 28 th December, 2017.

110 DRIVERS TICKETED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS IN PAST 48 HOUR

Officers from the Mobile Division conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrest of 27 person for outstanding criminal warrants, assault and possession of dangerous drugs, over the past 48 hours.  

Additionally, 110 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.
