RBPF Nassau: Coral Lakes convenience store robbed - Police make several arrests

Police Investigate an Armed Robbery - (Nassau, Bahamas) According to reports, sometime around 11:30am on Thursday 11 September 2014, a lone male entered the local convenience store located at Coral Lakes, while brandishing a handgun and demanded cash. The cashier handed him a small amount of cash before he made good his escape on foot into an unknown direction

Mobile Unit Makes Several Arrests in Last 24 Hours:

• In the first incident, sometime around 1:30pm on Thursday 11 September 2014, Mobile officers while on routine patrol, acted on information, which led to the arrest of a 58 year old male of Culmersville for stealing groceries from the Solomon’s Super Centre

• In the second incident, mobile officers of Thursday around 7:10pm stopped and searched a 23yr old Mt. Pleasant man. He was found in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The officers took him into custody for the drugs;

• Mobile officers took into custody a 41yr of female of Sidney Street, Chippingham, a 48yr of male of Alexandria Boulevard, Nassau Village, a 26yr old male of Saxon Way, a31 yr old male of Glenisten Gardens and a 29yr of male of Elizabeth Estates for breach of the Bail Act. These will all appear in court today.
