Police Seek Public's Help in 2 Shooting Incidents

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a two shooting incidents that has left two men detained in hospital on Wednesday 15th October 2014.

In the first incident, shortly after 7:00pm, a man was involved in an altercation with another man known to him who shot him to the right leg with a handgun and fled on foot. The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly before 9:00pm, a man was at Ross corner, when he was shot several times about the body by a group of men involved in an altercation. The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.Investigations are ongoing.

Police Seek Public's Help in 3 Armed Robberies

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving three armed that occurred on Wednesday 15th October 2014In the first incident, shortly after 3:00pm, two men armed with handguns robbed a food store located at Boyd Road of cash before fleeing on foot.

In the second incident, shortly before 8:00pm, a man was driving through Windsor Lane in his 2013 Hyundai vehicle, when two men armed with handguns robbed him of his vehicle and sped off.

Police recovered the vehicle on Fowler Street a short while later. No arrests have been made in this incident.In the third incident, shortly after 8:00pm, two men armed with handguns robbed a business establishment located at Grays, Long Island of a large amount of cash before fleeing in an unknown vehicle. Investigations are ongoing.

Police Seek Public's Help in Solving a Sexual Assault 

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a sexual assault of a woman that occurred on Thursday 16th October 2014.  According to reports, shortly before 1:00am, a woman was at her residence located on Hay Street, when a man known to her visited her residence and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.  Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding these incidents, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
