RBPF Nassau: Firearm and drugs seized, 6 in custody

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team seized another firearm and a quantity of dangerous drugs off the streets of New Providence on Monday 25th April 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 11:00pm, a team of officers from the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on a home located at Homestead Street, where they uncovered a 9 – millimeter handgun with 7 rounds of ammunition along with just over four pounds of marijuana. Six adult males were taken into custody in connection with this discovery.

POLICE ARE URGING ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, IS URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
