RBPF Nassau: Firearm seized and 8 arrested during a Police Crime suppression Operation

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are reporting the seizure of a shotgun, and the arrest of 8 persons for a number of serious offenses including armed robbery, firearm possession and stolen vehicle during two separate police crime suppression operations on Saturday 15th November 2014.

The operations were aimed at disrupting crime groups and targeting persons involved in criminal activities, such and Drugs and Firearms, Persons wanted for various criminal offences, Prolific Offenders, Persons wanted for Outstanding Court Warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.

The operations, which are consistent with the Commissioner’s 2014 Policing Priorities, were under the command of Chief Superintendents Ashton Greenslade and Clayton Fernander.
