RBPF Nassau: Illegal drugs recovered at LPIA - Police investigates stabbing incident

ILLEGAL DRUGS RECOVERED AT LPIA– 1 ADULT FEMALE
TOURIST IN CUSTODY

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, shortly before 10:00pm, Wednesday, 14th November, 2018, Airport Division Officers, while in the US Customs Hall at Lynden Pindling International Airport, arrested an adult American female, after she was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.

The female is expected to be formally arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week.

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT- 2 ADULT
MALES IN CUSTODY

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a stabbing incident which left an adult male with injuries, Wednesday 14th November, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00pm, a man was at the city dump, Tonique Williams-Darling Highway, when he was attached by three men, one armed with a sharp object, who stabbed him about the body before getting into a white truck and speeding away. The injured man was transported to hospital and is listed in stable condition.

A short time later, police arrested two adult males in connection with this incident.
Investigations are ongoing. 

31 FIXED PENALTY NOTICES ISSUED TO DRIVERS BY MOBILE
DIVISION OFFICERS IN PAST 48 HOUR   

Officers from the Mobile Divisions conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to educate, reduce crime, and to minimize the ability of criminals to commit criminal activity, resulted in the arrest of sixteen (16) persons for outstanding criminal warrants, armed robbery, stealing and breech of bail conditions over the past 24 hours.  

Additionally, 31 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.
