RBPF Nassau: Illegal firearm and dangerous drugs seized, 1 man arrested

Nassau, Bahamas - An adult male was taken into custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs and an illegal firearm, Friday, 11th January, 2019.

According to reports, around 12:30pm, South Central Division Officers, acting on information, while at Lexington Avenue off Wulff Road, conducted a search of a male and recovered a quantity of suspected marijuana and a 9 millimeter pistol.

The male was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before Magistrate Court next week.

PREVENTION CRIME TIP - TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
