Nassau, Bahamas - The excellent and enduring work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force has led to yet more illegal firearms being taken from the streets of New Providence, and three adult males taken into custody in two separate incidents, on Wednesday, 18th January, 2018.

In the first incident, shortly before 9:00pm, officers from the Mobile Division, responded to a report of gunshots being heard on Fire Trail Road, near to Bahamas Faith Ministries Church. Upon arrival at that location, officers saw a man sitting in a vehicle, acting in a suspicious manner. The man upon seeing the officers, ran from a vehicle while throwing an object into nearby bushes. The officers caught the man, conducted a search of the bushes and recovered a .40 Austria Glock Pistol and 14 round of ammunition.
