Apparent suicide in Pinewood Gardens - Two arrested for drug possession

POLICE INVESTIGATE APPARENT SUICIDE IN PINEWOOD GARDENS 

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman that occurred on Tuesday 14th December 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 3:00pm, police received a report of a woman found dead at her home located at Sapodilla Boulevard, Pinewood Gardens. Police arrived at the scene and discovered the lifeless body of an adult woman hanging from a cord. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the initial investigation, police suspect this incident to be a suicide. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

TWO ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION
 
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Mobile Division Officers took two adult males into custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 14th December 2016.
 
Reports are that shortly after 2:00pm, Mobile Division officers were on routine patrol on Saunders Road, when they saw two males acting suspiciously. The officers conducted a search of the two males and found 41 small wraps, each containing a quantity of marijuana in their possession. The two males were subsequently taken into custody.
