RBPF Nassau: Jeep driver bumps moving motorbike then steals bike - Home invasion - Arrests made by mobile officers

POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police need the public’s help in solving an armed robbery and shooting that has left a male fighting for his life in hospital.

According to reports, on Wednesday 20th August 2014, sometime around 10:44pm two males ages 31yrs of Haselmere Road and 18yrs of Ethel Street were riding their motorbike in the Hasselmere Road area off Old Trail Road when they were bumped from behind by occupants of a black Suzuki Jeep. They came to a stop and the occupants of the jeep exited, produced firearms and robbed the males of their Krypton motorbike valued $2050.00. One of the occupants of the jeep then discharged several shots at the males before making good their escape with the bike.

POLICE INVESTIGATE BURGLARY & ARMED ROBBERY

According to reports, sometime around 1:10am on Thursday 21 August 2014, a 24yr old female resident of Marigold Farm Road was at home when she heard noises in the kitchen area. She went to investigate the noises and was confronted by a male wearing a tam mask. This male produced a firearm and ordered the woman back into the bedroom, where he demanded cash. The woman complied and gave the assailant a substantial amount of cash.

MOBILE OFFICER MAKE SEVERAL ARRESTS


• In the first incident, sometime around 7:00pm, Mobile officers responded to a complaint at a liquor store situated on Shirley Street where a male customer attempted to steal items from the store. The male attacked the manager and was later arrested by the responding officers. He is age 35yrs of West Street;

• In the second incident, Mobile officers while on routine patrol received intelligence which led them to the John Road area where the met a 33yr old male resident of Jean Street. The officers acting on this intelligence arrested the male for a causing harm to a 30 yr old male on 20 June 2014;

• In the third incident, Mobile officers while on routine patrol acted on intelligence, which led them to the Garden Hills area where they arrested a 28yr old male of Chenille Avenueforthreateningtokill his24yroldgirlfriendon27thApril2013.

• Finally, Mobile officers arrested four males ages 20yrs of Brougham Street, 31yrs of Pinedale, 19yrs of East Street and 24yrs of South Beach for breach of their bail conditions. Neither of the males were being electronically monitored.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

THEY THEN GET THE MONEY AND DISAPPEAR AND YOU WOULD HAVE FACILITATED IT.) REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE.
