POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police need the public’s help in solving an overnight armed robbery that occurred in the Mermaid Boulevard Golden Gates area.

According to reports, sometime around 2:45 am on Monday 8th September 2014, a 24yr old female resident of Mermaid Boulevard arrived home, when she was accosted by a knife wielding male bandit wearing a scarf across his face. The male demanded the woman’s cash and relieved her of her handbag containing cash before getting into a small vehicle that was waiting for him and made good his escape.

POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT


Police need the public’s help in solving an overnight shooting in the Dowdeswell Street area.

According to reports, police were called to Deveaux Street to reports of gunshots being discharged in the area. Officers arrived on the scene and mat a 41yr old Nassau Village man suffering from gunshots to the lower back. The male reported that he was standing outside a local night club on Dowdeswell Street, when he heard gunshots and realized that he was shot. He is not sure who shot him.

POLICE INVESTIGATE INDECENT ASSAULT OF 16 YR OLD FEMALE

According to reports the female reported that she was visiting a relative when in the western district of New Providence when she was indecently assaulted by her elder male relative.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
