RBPF Nassau: Investigate murder and armed robbery - Arrest Male in stolen Honda Accord

POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are appealing to the public for help in solving an early morning shooting in the Yellow Elder area that has left a 42yr old man dead.

According to reports, sometime around 9:30am on Wednesday 01 October 2014, the 42yr old male resident of Old Cedar Street was standing in his yard when he was accosted by two men wearing cloths around their faces and both armed with handguns. The men discharged their weapons in the direction of the resident striking him to the face. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the male to PMH where he died around 4:30pm on Wednesday 1 October 2014.

POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY


Police are appealing to the public for help in solving an armed robbery that occurred in the Coral Harbour area.

According to reports, sometime around 6:00pm on Wednesday 01 October 2014, a 25yr old male resident of Coral Vista Estates was at the Coral Harbour Park, when he was accosted by three males one of whom was armed with a knife. The men relieved him of jewelry and a small amount of cash before stabbing him to the hand. He was later treated for his injuries, which are not life threatening.

MOBILE UNIT OFFICERS ARREST MALE IN STOLEN HONDA ACCORD

According to reports, sometime around 2.15am on Thursday 2nd October 2014, while on Mobile Unit officers had occasion to stop a black Honda Accord on Marcus Bethel Way. After making a check of the vehicle, it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen. The 28yr old male driver of South Beach was arrested and transported to CDU. He was also found in possession of a large assortment of license plates in a backpack.
