RBPF Nassau: Investigate 3 separate shootings that occurred overnight, 1 man in custody - Police searching for suspects in 3 separate armed robberies

POLICE INVESTIGATE THREE SEPARATE SHOOTINGS THAT OCCURRED OVERNIGHT, 1 MAN IN CUSTODY

Nassau, Bahamas -  Police have launched an island-wide manhunt for the suspects responsible for three separate shootings that has left three men in hospital. 

In the first incident, around 8:00pm, Friday 24th November, 2017, Police received a report that a man was at Hospital Lane when he was approached by a lone gunman. A struggle ensued, resulting in the firearm discharging and the victim being shot. The victim was taken to hospital where he remain in stable condition. 

Heroic residences in the area captured the suspect and handed him over to police.  

Then, shortly after 10:00pm, Friday 24th November two men were sitting in a vehicle in the Golden Gates area when one of them was shot. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition. 

 In the final, shortly after 2:00am on Saturday 25th November, 2017, a man had just pulled up to his residence on Cowpen Road, when he was approached by a lone gunman who shot him before speeding off in his black 2009 Toyota Corolla. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in serious condition. 

 Investigation continues into these incidents. 

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN THREE SEPARATE ARMED ROBBERIES

POLICE are asking the public to come forth with any information they may have in solving three separate armed robberies that occurred on Friday 24th November 2017. 

In the first incident shortly after 5:00am, four men armed with a handgun, robbed vendors and a customer at the Montague Ramp of cash and personal items before speeding off in a black vehicle.  

Then, shortly before 6:00pm, a Public Service Bus Driver and his passengers were on Gladstone Road when two men entered the bus and robbed them of cash and other items before fleeing on foot.

Then later that same day shortly after 7:00pm, two men entered a local food store on Cordeaux Avenue and robbed the cashier of cash before speeding off in a sliver Dodge vehicle.  

Investigations continue into these incidents.   

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
