RBPF Nassau: Large seizure of drugs – Potters Cay Dock - Shooting victim dies in hospital

LARGE SEIZURE OF DRUGS – POTTERS CAY DOCK

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports; shortly before 8:00pm on Saturday, 13 th January, 2018 , Drug Enforcement Officer along with Officer from the RBPF K - 9 Unit , acting on information, conducted a search of the Motor Vessel Legacy , which was moored at the Potters Cay Dock, and recovered a large quantity of Marijuana which was contained in boxes in the freezer compartment . The drugs is weighed in at 30lb and has a street value of $ 30,00 0 . N o arrest was made in this incident .

Investigations are ongoing.

SHOOTING VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL

A man who was shot while at a convenience store on Zion Boulevard, died in hospital on Sunday, 14th January, 2018.

Shortly before 9:00pm on Saturday , 30th December, 2017 , the victim was accosted by a gunman who entered the store and shot hi m before fleeing on foot.

The victim has been identified as Caswell Hanna , age 33 years of Kool Acers .

Investigations are ongoing.
