FLYING SQUAD OFFICER MAKE ARREST FOR MURDER

Nassau, Bahamas - On Friday 15th August 2014, Flying Squad Officers acting on intelligence arrested a 23yr old male of Cordeaux Avenue and a 20yr old male of 2nd Street for questioning reference to the Murder of Ryan Smith on 12th August 2014 that occurred at Sumner Street.


FLYING SQUAD OFFICER MAKE ARREST FOR MURDER

According to reports, on Friday 15th August 2014, Flying Squad officers arrested two males ages 18yrs and 29yrs both of Yellow Elder for questioning reference to the murder of Leonaise Jones. Leonaise was shot and killed by bandits, who fired shots into her bedroom around 4:00am on January 4, 2014.

CIB OFFICERS UNCOVER FIREARM

According to reports, On Friday 15th August 2014, officers from the Central Intelligence Unit were conducting investigations in the Wilson Track area where they seized a 9mm pistol believe to be the firearm used to shoot at officers the night before, where a male was found suffering from gunshot injuries after shooting at police.

POLICE SEEK PUBLICS HELP IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERY


According to reports, a 46yr old female of Constitution Drive had just arrived home when she was accosted by two males dressed in dark clothing and armed with handguns. The men held her at bay and robbed her of $700.00 before escaping on foot.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
