RBPF Nassau: Drug arrest - Armed Robbery - Ammunition found

POLICE MAKE DRUG ARREST

Nassau, Bahamas - On Tuesday 19th August 2014, sometime around 1:00pm officers from the Carmichael Station teamed up with officers from the Mobile Unit to execute a warrant at a residence at Lazaretto Road. The officers were successful in seizing a quantity of drugs and a large assortment of watches, cell phones, cameras, jewelry and cash. The items were handed over to CDU to continue the investigation.

POLICE REQUEST PUBLICS HELP IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERY


According to reports, on Tuesday 19th August 2014, around 5:45pm a 49yr old female resident of Quakoo Street went into the Sunset Park area to transact business when she was accosted by two males, one of whom was armed with a black pistol. The men held the woman at bay and robbed her of her 2005 Honda Accord before making good their escape.

POLICE UNCOVER AMMUNITION


According to reports, sometime around 6:18pm on Tuesday 19th August 2014, Mobile Unit officers were on patrol in the Wulff Road area when they received information from a concerned citizen. Acting on this information, the officers went to an abandoned building where they recovered a.380 pistol loaded with two bullets.

POLICE UNCOVER AMMUNITION


On Tuesday 19th August 2014, sometime around 8:15pm a 51yr old male was sitting on a fence at the rear of his residence at Montel Heights during a thunderstorm. A lightning bolt struck the fence where the man was sitting and electrocuted him. He was transported to PMH by EMS suffering from burns to both hands.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

(FRAUDSTERS WILL TRANSFER MONIES TO YOUR ACCOUNT AS ABOVE AND ASK YOU TO RATE THE SERVICE BY SENDING THE MONEY TO AN INDIVIDUAL SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD. THEY THEN GET THE MONEY AND DISAPPEAR AND YOU WOULD HAVE FACILITATED IT.) REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE.
