RBPF Nassau: Male arrested at LPIA for drug possession

Nassau, Bahamas - A 25 year old male from Suriname was taken into custody at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on Sunday 5th May, 2019, after he was found in possession of dangerous drugs.

According to reports shortly after 3:00pm, Airport Division Officers, conducted a search of a man who arrived in The Bahamas from Jamaica, via Caribbean Airlines, and recovered from his luggage eight (8) packages of suspected Marijuana. The man was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before a Magistrate Court this week. 

Weight of Drugs: 1.8 lbs.
Valued: $1,800.00
