RBPF Nassau: Man arrested for stolen vehicle - 2 arrested for drug possession

TWO MALES ARRESTED BY SOUTHWESTERN DIVISION OFFICERS FOR DRUG POSSESSION

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm on Thursday 27th August 2015, officers from the Southwestern Division were on mobile patrol on Carmichael Road near McKinney Drive, when they observed a black Honda Accord with two male occupants driving in a suspicious manner. The officers ordered the occupants to stop the vehicle but they refused to do so and sped off. A chase ensued and the vehicle came to a stop when it collided with another vehicle. The two male occupants alighted from the vehicle and threw a plastic bag to the ground. The officers retrieved the bag containing a quantity of marijuana and took the two males ages 27 and 20 into custody.

MAN ARRESTED BY SOUTHWESTERN DIVISION OFFICERS FOR STOLEN VEHICLE

According to reports, around 7:00am on Friday 28th August 2015, officers from the Southwestern Division were on mobile patrol on Lilac Street, Pastel Gardens, when they observed a suspicious Honda vehicle parked in the area. The officers made a check of the vehicle and found a male inside. A search was conducted of the vehicle and three cell phones that were reported stolen were found. The officers also discovered that the Honda vehicle was reported stolen on 27th August, 2015. The officers then took the19 –year old male of Pinewood Gardens into custody for questioning reference to stolen vehicle.
