RBPF Nassau: Man shot on Dorsett Street - Stolen vehicle recovered

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN SOLVING SHOOTING INCIDENT 

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in solving a shooting incident that has left a 20 year old man detained in hospital on Saturday 15th February 2014.  

According to reports, shortly after 6:30pm, police received a report that a man had been shot at Dorsett Street. Police on arrival at the scene met a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS Personnel, where he is detained in critical condition.  

Investigations are ongoing. 

EASTERN DIVISION OFFICERS RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE 

According to reports, shortly before 3:00pm on Saturday 15th February 2014, officers from the Eastern Division acting on intelligence went to Sandilands Village Road where they uncovered a 1997 Honda CRV vehicle that was report stolen on 31st January 2014.

Police are appealing to anyone with any information regarding these incidents, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

WATCH OUT FOR SUSPICIOUS VEHICLES. IF YOU SEE A “PROWLING” CAR, TRUCK, OR VAN IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, WRITE DOWN THE LICENSE NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS.
