RBPF Nassau: Murder suspect to appear in court today -12 arrested in various police opeations

Suspect in Podoleo Street murder to appear in court today - A 19 – year old male of Isabella Boulevard will appear in court today at 11:00am today to be formally charged for the murder of Theophilus Thompson that occurred at Podoleo Street on Friday 6th March 2015.

Also appearing in court today, will be a 23 – year old man of Buttonwood Street for possession of an unlicensed firearm and a 22 – year old man of Palm Tree Avenue for Threats of Death.

8 arrested overnight by Mobile Division Officers - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of eight (8) persons overnight for various minor and major offences. Additionally, the officers uncovered a quantity of marijuana behind a building located on Miami Street.

4 suspects arrested as anti-crime operation continues - POLICE are reporting the arrest of 4 persons for various criminal offences to include, possession of dangerous drugs, house breaking and assault as their ant-crime operation continued throughout New Providence last night.

The operation which is consistent with the Commissioner’s 2015 Policing Priorities, targeted persons involved in criminal activities, such as drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders, persons wanted for outstanding court warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.
