RBPF Nassau: Police investigating a shooting incident that has left an adult male dead - Stabbing incident

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE COUNTRY’S LATEST HOMICIDE.


Nassau, Bahamas - Police on New Providence are investigating a shooting incident, Monday, 11th November, 2019 which has left an adult male dead.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00am, a man and a woman arrived at their residence on Ashley Close off Hawk Ridge Road, Carmichael Road, when they were approached by a gunman who opened fire in their direction, shooting the male multiple times about his body, before running away. The injured man was transported to hospital and a short time later succumbed to his injuries. The woman was not injured.

Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with this investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
Investigations are ongoing

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT

Police on New Providence are investigating a separate stabbing incidents which has left an adult male detained in hospital.

According to reports shortly after 10:00am, Sunday, 10th November, 2019, a man was on Bernard Road, when he was approached by a group of men, one of whom stabbed him about his body. The victim was able to escape from the men and ran into a nearby restaurant. He was transported to hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.

29 FIXED PENALTY NOTICES ISSUED TO DRIVERS BY MOBILE
DIVISION OFFICERS IN PAST 48 HOUR  

Officers from the Mobile Divisions conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to educate, reduce crime, and to minimize the ability of criminals to commit criminal activity, resulted in the arrest of five (5) persons for outstanding criminal warrants, stealing and fraud over the past 48 hours. 
Additionally, 29 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations

FIREARMS LICENSING OFFICE NEW OPERATING HOURS

The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to notify members of the public that it’s Firearms Licensing Office on University Boulevard will be open to customers Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am - 4pm.

Effective 7th, December, 2019 through 11th January, 2020 the Firearms Licensing Office (New Providence) will be opened every Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm to assist members of the public.

All Firearms Licenses expires as of 31st December, 2019. After Wednesday 14th January, 2020 a late fee of $50.00 will be added to each firearm license at the time of renewal.

Firearm License Holders, who have not already done so, are asked to visit the office to renew their licenses.
