RBPF Nassau: Police investigate traffic fatality - Shooting victim dies in hospital - 57 drivers ticketed

POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY

Police on New Providence, are investigating a traffic accident, which has left an adult male dead.

According to reports shortly after 9:00pm, on Tuesday, 8th May, 2018, an adult male was walking on Madeira Street, when he was struck by a white Ford Explorer Jeep. He was transported to hospital via ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, remained on scene and assisted police with the investigation. 

On Wednesday, 9th May, 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

 Investigations are being continued by Officers of the RBPF Traffic Department.

SHOOTING VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL

A man who was shot while at Jumbey Street, Pinewood Gardens, died in hospital, Wednesday, 9th 2018.

The deceased and other persons were standing outside a residence on Jumbey Street off Windsor Place, shortly after 11:00pm, Saturday, 28th April, 2018, , when they were approached by a male armed with a firearm who opened fire on them, hitting four of them before running away. 

Investigations are ongoing.

57 DRIVERS TICKETED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS IN PAST 48 HOUR   

Officers from the Mobile Divisions conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to educate, reduce crime, and to minimize the ability of criminals to commit criminal activity, resulted in the arrest of 13 person for outstanding criminal warrants, possession of dangerous drugs and breach of a monitoring device, over the past 24 hours.  

Additionally, 57 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations

INVOLVED.
