RBPF Nassau: Police investigates armed robbery - Dangerous drug and ammunition recovered

POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERY   

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are searching for a man responsible for an armed robbery which occurred Tuesday, 22nd January, 2019.

According to reports, shortly 8:00pm, three women arrived at a residence on Margaret Avenue, Millers Heights, when they were approached by a man armed with a firearm, who robbed them of a silver 2006 Honda Accord car, license #AE4783, before speeding away. 

Investigations are ongoing


DANGEROUS DRUG AND AMMUNITION RECOVERED – 2 MEN
IN CUSTODY

According to reports, shortly after 2:00pm, Tuesday, 22nd January, 2019, South Central Division Officers conducted a search of a home on West Dennis Court, Yellow Elder Gardens and recovered a small quantity of suspected marijuana and four (4) rounds of ammunition. 

Two men who were present during the time of the search, were taken into custody.
Investigations are ongoing. 

ILLEGAL FIREARMS RECOVERED 

Police have recovered yet another illegal firearm from the streets of New Providence, Tuesday, 22th January, 2019.

According to reports, shortly after 3:00pm South Central Division Officers, acting on information conducted a search of the park at West Dennis Court, Yellow Elder Gardens and recovered a .22 revolver and eight (8) rounds of ammunition. 

No arrest was made in this incident.
