From:TheBahamasWeekly.com Royal Bahamas Police Force According to reports, shortly after 10:00am, a man and woman were exiting the property of the Sandilands Hospital on Fox Hill Road, in a white vehicle, when they were approached by two armed men who came from a black jeep, opened fire on their vehicle, shooting them, before getting back into their vehicle and speeding away. Paramedics visited the scene and attempted to revive the victims but were unsuccessful. They were pronounced dead. No one else was injured during this incident.
Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist in solving this incident, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
Investigations are ongoing.
FIREARMS LICENSING OFFICE NEW OPERATING HOURS
The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to notify members of the public that it’s Firearms Licensing Office on University Boulevard will be open to customers from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am - 4pm.
Effective 1st December, 2018 through 12th January, 2019 the Firearms Licensing Office (New Providence) will be open every Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00om to assist members of the public.
All Firearms Licenses expires as of 31st December, 2018. After 14th January, 2019 a late fee of $50.00 will be added to each firearm license at the time of renewal.
Firearm License Holders, who have not already done so, are asked to visit the office to renew their lice POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS).
