RBPF Nassau: Police investigates shooting and stabbing incidents

POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING AND STABBING INCIDENT 


Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating a shooting and stabbing incident Monday, 17th June 2019, which left two adult males with injuries.

According to reports, shortly before 7:00pm a group of young men were walking on Farrington Road in the vicinity of Eden Street, when they got into an altercation with another  group of men. During the altercation, a vehicle pulled up and the occupants opened fire on the men, hitting one of them in the leg before speeding away. The victim was transported to hospital via ambulance and is listed in stable condition.
A short time a male presented himself to hospital with a wound to his back. According to reports, the male was on Farrington Road, when he got into an altercation with a group of men and sustained his injures. He is presently listed in stable condition.     

 Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT- ADULT FEMALE IN CUSTODY

Police have taken a woman into custody in connecting with a stabbing incident, Monday, 17th June, 2019 which has left an adult male in serious condition in hospital.
According to reports, shortly before 11:00pm, a man and woman were on West Street near South Street, when they got in an altercation, resulting in the woman stabbing the man about his body and transporting him to hospital. The 25 year old woman is presently assisting police with this investigation. 

Investigations are ongoing.
