RBPF Nassau: Police investigates shooting incident and armed robberies

POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident Saturday, 30th June, 2018, which left an adult male with injuries and female missing. 

Shortly before 10:00pm, a female and two males were sitting in a vehicle outside a home on Peach Street, Pastel Gardens, when the male who was sitting in the rear seat produced a firearm and shot the female and male. The male victim was able to escape from the vehicle and ran to a house for assistance. The suspect drove off in the vehicle, a brown Nissan Cube license # AM9396 along with the female who is believed to be injured. The injured male was taken to hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition. 

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERIES

Police are investigating four armed robberies which occurred over the past twenty-four hours:

In the first incident, according to reports, shortly after 3:00pm, on Saturday, 30th

June, 2018 a female was on a beach at Rainbow Bay, Eleuthera when she was approached by two men, one armed with a knife who robbed her of cash before running away.

In the second incident, shortly before 11:00pm, on Saturday, 30th June, 2018, a man was on the outside of a washhouse on Joe Farrington Road, New Providence, when he was approached by three men, one armed with a firearm, who robbed him of cell phones before getting into his silver Toyota Passo license# AK7455 and speeding away. 

In the third incident, shortly after 11:00pm, on Saturday, 30th June, 2018, a three armed men entered the office of a motel on St. Albans Drive, New Providence, held an employee at bay and robbed the establishment of cash before making good their escape. 

In the fourth incident, shortly after 4:00am on Sunday, 1st July, 2018, a male was selling snacks outside a wash house on Carmichael Road, when he was approached by two men, one armed with a firearm, who robbed him of cash, before getting into a silver vehicle license# AK7445 and speeding away.
