RBPF Nassau: Police investigates the country’s latest homicide & overnight armed robberies

POLICE INVESTIGATES THE COUNTRY’S LATEST HOMICIDE.

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident which has left an adult male dead and another male in serious condition in hospital.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00pm, Tuesday, 23rd October, 2018, two men were sitting on a truck on Parker Street off Polhemus Street, when they were approached by a male armed with a firearm, who shot them before making good his escape. Emergency Medical Services Personnel were called to the scene to assist the victims. One of the men succumbed to his injuries on scene, while the second man was transported to hospital and is listed in serious, but stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES OVERNIGHT ARMED ROBBERIES

Police on New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance with any information that can assist in the investigation of two armed robberies which occurred Tuesday, 23rd October, 2018.

In the first incident, according to reports, shortly after 9:25pm a woman was sitting in her vehicle in front of a residence at Zanadia Avenue, St. Andrews Beach Estate, when she was approached by a male armed with a firearm who robbed her of cash and a cell phone before running away.

In the second incident, according to reports, shortly before 11:00pm, three men were standing outside a home on Roberto Drive, Ridgeland Park West, when they were approached by a man armed with a firearm who robbed them of cash, cellphones and other items before running away. 

Investigations are ongoing. 

 POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THESE INCIDENTS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS), THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 502-9991/2 OR THE NEAREST POLIKCE STATION.
