Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 31-year-old man who was killed when he became pinned under a vehicle on Tuesday 6th September 2016.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that shortly before 10:00pm, the man was in the process of changing a tire on a public service bus on Blue Hill Road South, when the tire jack apparently malfunctioned — which then caused the vehicle to fall down on top of him.

Citizens assisted Police in lifting the vehicle off the man, and paramedics then began life-saving measures. Unfortunately though, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
