RBPF Nassau: Police searching for armed robbery suspects

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are searching for two males responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday 21st September 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 10:00pm, a woman was parked in her Chevy Aveo car on a beach at Eastern New Providence, when two males armed with handguns approached and robbed her of her vehicle before speeding off.

A report was made to the police and all points bulletin (APB) was issued. A short while later officers from the Northeastern Division were on routine patrol on Mackey Street when they spotted the vehicle. After a short chase the suspects brought the vehicle to a stop and fled on foot. The officers gave chase but were unable to catch the suspects.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to the public to share information on any illegal/suspicious activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, members of the public are urged to anonymously contact the police at 919 or Crime Stoppers at 328-tips (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Island)
