POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN OVERNIGHT SHOOTING

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are searching for the suspect responsible for a shooting that has left one men detained in hospital Tuesday, 2nd January, 2018. 

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm, a man was standing outside a residence on St. John’s Road, Pinewood Gardens, when he was approached by a man armed with a firearm, who shot him before running off. The victim was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.  

Investigations are ongoing. 

2 SUSPECTS TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT FOR ARMED ROBBERY

Police are pleased to report that as a result of unwavering commitment and dedication to duty by officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, two (2) suspects will be arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 3rd January, 2018 at 12:00noon to be formally charged with Armed Robbery. 

The suspects are:

  • 20 and 22 – year old males of Crooked Island Street, who will be charged for the armed robbery of a convenience store on Poinciana Drive, on Sunday, 31st December, 2017.
