POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERIES

Nassau, Bahamas -   Police are asking the public to come forth with any information it may have in solving two armed robberies which occurred on New Providence.   In the first incident, shortly after 1:00pm Sunday, 14th January, 2018, a male armed with a firearm entered a convenience store on Wulff Road near Wilson Track and robbed employees of cash before fleeing on foot. 

In the second incident , shortly before 2 :00 am Monday , 15th January, 2018 , a male armed with a firearm entered a wash house on Nassau Street and robbed the  employees of cash before speeding off in a right hand drive vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing in these matters.

POLICE PROBE STABBING INCIDENT

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing incident which has left a man with serious injuries on Monday , 15th January, 2018

According to reports, shortly b ef ore 1 :00am , the victi m was walking in Montel Heights , when he was approached by two men armed with knives, who s tabbed him before fleeing on foot. T he victim was transported to hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Investigations are ongoing .

ILLEGAL FIREARM AND AMMUNITION SEIZED, 2 MEN ARRESTED

The excellent and enduring work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Poli ce Force has led to yet another illegal firearm being taken from the street s of New Providence, and two adult male s taken into custody on Monday, 1 5 th January, 2018 .

Shortly after 1 :00am, o fficers from S outh Central Division , acting on information conducted a search of two men and th e vehicle they were sitting in while at Montel Heights , and recovered a n unlicensed firearm and ( 25 ) rounds of ammunition.

The men were arrest and are expected to be formally charged before court later this week.
