POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are asking members of the public to come forth with any information they may have in solving an armed robbery, which occurred Thursday, 14th June, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00pm a woman was driving her purple 2008 Nissan Cube, license #AL6559 west on Carmichael Road when she was forced to stop. She was approached by two men armed with firearms who forced her from the vehicle, before getting into it and speeding away. 

Investigations are ongoing.

ILLEGAL MIGRANTS ARRESTED

According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, Thursday, 14th June, 2018, police responded to Montague Shores after receiving information that a group of persons were gathered in the area of the restroom. Officers discovered nine Haitian Nationals, 4 men, 4 women and a child. They were taken into custody and later turned over the Bahamas Immigration Department. 

42 DRIVERS TICKETED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS IN
PAST 48 HOUR   

Officers from the Mobile Divisions conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to educate, reduce crime, and to minimize the ability of criminals to commit criminal activity, resulted in the arrest of 11 persons for outstanding criminal warrants, assault, house breaking and stealing, over the past 48 hours.
 
Additionally, 42 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations
