RBPF Nassau: Police seek public’s help in solving country’s latest homicide

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are searching for the suspect(s) responsible for a shooting incident Monday, 14th May, 2018, which has left an adult male dead.

According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, a group of men were standing in front of a barber shop, on Fourth Street off Robinson Road, when a white Nissan March pulled up.  An occupant of this vehicle fired a number of shots into the group, hitting one of them. Paramedics were called to the scene, but were unable to revive the injured man. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

CRIME PREVENTION TIPS – CONFLICT RESOLUTION

  • Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
  • Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
