RBPF Nassau: Police seek public’s help in solving country’s latest homicide - 21 arrested by mobile division

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING COUNTRY’S LATEST HOMICIDE.


Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating the death of an adult male, who’s partly decomposed body was discovered, Sunday, 19th August, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00pm, Investigators were called to St. Matthew’s Cemetery on Church and Shirley Streets, where the body of a Caucasian male was discovered with injuries.   

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information surrounding his death to contact the police at 919/911, Central Detective Unit at 5002-9991/2 or Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477)

Investigations are ongoing.

21 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 48
HOURS PERIOD  

Mobile Division targeted patrols, intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activity, have resulted in the arrest of twentt-one (21) persons during the past 48 hours for possession of dangerous drugs, Illegal firearm, stealing, and outstanding court warrants. 

Additionally one hundred and four (104) drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.

CRIME PREVENTION TIPS – TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
