Nassau, Bahamas - The quick and immediate response, as well as the dedication to the citizens of the Bahamas by police, led to the apprehension of a 31 – year old man of Garden Hills within hours after he committed an armed robbery on Friday 21st November 2014.
According to reports shortly after 7:00am, a woman had just walked outside of her residence located at Theodore Lane off John F. Kennedy Drive, when a man armed with a handgun robbed her of cash and fled on foot.
Police launched an intense investigation into the matter that led to the arrest of the suspect shortly after 1:00pm. Police also recovered a handgun used in the armed robbery from the suspect.
POLICE are also appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of wanted persons or any information about crimes and other illegal activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) or the nearest Police Station

• Don’t support illegal activities, like buying stolen property or using illegal drugs. It’s the wrong message to send to a child, and it involves you in criminal activity. It also encourages more crime that hurts you and your neighbours.
