RBPF Nassau: Quick response yields 3 arrests for Armed Robbery - 7 arrested overnight

QUICK RESPONSE BY EASTERN DIVISION OFFICERS YIELDS 3 ARRESTS FOR ARMED ROBBERY

A quick response by police combined with excellent ‘Text book’ police work has resulted in the arrest of three males ages 32, 31 and 17 shortly after they committed an armed robbery on Tuesday 29th July 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 10:00am, police received a report that a business establishment located at Bernard Road was held up and robbed of a large amount of cash by several gunmen.

Eastern Division officers responded and spotted the suspects leaving the area in a heavily tinted Toyota vehicle; the officers gave chase and caught up with the vehicle on Maranata Close off Prince Charles Drive, where they arrested the three suspects.
The officers was also able to recover some of the cash taken during the robbery.

Investigations are ongoing

7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS OVERNIGHT

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the following arrests overnight:

Five (5) arrests for Outstanding Criminal Warrants
One (1) arrests for Possession of Dangerous Drugs
One (1) arrest for Armed Robbery
