POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN SHOOTING DEATH

Nassau,  Bahamas - Police are searching for the suspect/s responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 1st May 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 12:00am, police were on mobile patrol when they saw smoke emanating from a vehicle in the parking lot of the old City Meat Market building located off Market Street north. Police on examining the vehicle found the lifeless body of an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are searching for a light blue Honda vehicle that was seen leaving the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE PROBE WEST WAY STREET STABBING DEATH, 1 SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 1st May 2016.

According to reports, shortly before 1:00am, police received report of a stabbing incident outside of a nightclub located on West Bay Street. When police arrived on the scene they met an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds to the body. The victim was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed. An adult male is in custody assisting police with investigations into this incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
