POLICE SEARCHING FOR TWO ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, shortly after 1:30am on Sunday 24th January 2016, a man was standing in front of his home off Dunmore Avenue, when two men armed with handguns approached in a silver Honda vehicle and robbed him of his silver 2005 Honda Accord license number 300397 before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.

1 ILLEGAL FIREARMS SEIZED, 18 ARRESTED AS POLICE ANTI-CRIME OPERATION HEATS UP

POLICE are reporting the seizure of one illegal firearm and the arrest of 18 persons for a number of serious criminal offences during an ongoing operation conducted by officers the Selective Enforcement Team on Saturday 23rd January 2016.

Late Saturday evening the operation team conducted a search of a residence at East Storr Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens, where they uncovered a 9-millimeter pistol with four rounds of ammunition. An adult male and female were taken into custody in connection with this find.

Additionally, the operation team arrested 16 other individuals in connection with a number of offenses to include Armed Robbery, Firearms and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.
