Nassau police investigate: 3 armed robberies: Centreville / Wulff Rd. / Mackey St.

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving three separate armed robberies that occurred on Thursday 13th November 2014.

In the first incident, shortly after 11:00am, a man armed with a handgun robbed a business establishment located at 6th Terrace, Centerville of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on a bicycle.

In the second incident, shortly before 3:00pm, two men armed with a handgun robbed a business establishment located at Wulff Road of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

In the third incident, shortly before 9:00pm, a man was walking on Mackey Street, when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash before fleeing on foot.

Investigations are ongoing.

WEEKLY PREVENTION CRIME TIP - WHILE WALKING

• Don’t make yourself a likely target

• Don’t wear excessive jewelry

• Don’t let your purse dangle from your arm

• Don’t walk alone in dark areas

• Walk with confidence and a sense of purpose-don’t be tentative

• Be aware of your surroundings and know what’s going on around you

• If you think you’re being followed by someone on foot: cross the street, change direction, vary your pace. If he/she persists, go to an open store or public place and call police

• If you think you're being followed by someone in a car - turn around and walk in the other direction. Go up a one-way street. If he/she persists, record the license number and call police.
