Nassau police search for suspects in 2 shooting incidents - 3 arrested after illegal gun and drugs discovered

POLICE SEEK HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECTS IN SHOOTING INCIDENT
 
Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man detained in hospital on Tuesday 30th August 2016.
 
Reports are that shortly after 7:00am, a man was driving his Nissan vehicle on Faith Avenue South, when two men in a white Infinite vehicle pulled up on the side of him and shot him before speeding off. The victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.
 
Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE ARREST THREE AFTER FINDING AN ILLEGAL GUN AND DRUGS
 
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, Selective Enforcement Unit Officers arrested three adult males following the seizure of an illegal firearm and a quantity of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 30th August 2016.
 
Reports are, that around 11:00pm Selective Enforcement Team officers were on routine patrol on Poinciana Avenue and Fifth Street, where they conducted a search of three males on a park and found a pistol with 4 rounds of ammunition along with a quantity of marijuana. The males were subsequently arrested for questioning reference to this discovery.
 
Police can confirm that one of the suspects is on bail for murder.
