Nassau police search for suspects in 3 shootings and 1 armed robbery

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECTS IN THREE SHOOTINGS

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for three separate shooting incidents that has left three males detained in hospital.

In the first incident, shortly after 9:00pm on Tuesday 10th May 2016, a man was sitting in his vehicle with a female friend at Stokes Cabana, Yamacraw Beach, when four males armed with firearms approached and robbed them of a cell phone. The suspects then shot the man before fleeing in a red vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital where his condition is listed as stable.

In the second incident, shortly after 10:30pm on Tuesday 10th May 2016, a man was walking in the area of John Road and Market Street, when a man armed with a shotgun approached him and shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where his condition is listed as stable.

In the third incident, shortly after 12:00am on Wednesday 11th May 2016, a man was standing outside of a house located on Homestead Street, when a man armed with a handgun approached him and shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where his condition is listed as stable.

Investigations are ongoing in all of these incidents

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday 10th May 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 10:00pm, a man had just pulled up to his home located on Johnson Terrace, when a man armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of his grey Honda Accord vehicle license number 21224 before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE ARE URGING ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, IS URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)

WEEKLY PREVENTION CRIME TIP - If you witness a crime

If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders:

1. Age, color, height, and weight;

2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache;

3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses, mental state, etc.)

4. Clothing description;

5. Location where last seen;

6. Last known direction of travel;

7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings.

Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.
